Choose the right chart
A useful chart starts with a question, not a visualization type.
Decide in less than a minute
| If your question is… | Start with… | Plant example |
|---|---|---|
| How did it change over time? | Line chart | CPPW speed during the day |
| How much did it rise or fall at each step, and where did it end? | Waterfall | Hourly THHN_1 variation |
| Which sensor or machine has more? | Bar chart | Stop minutes by machine |
| What is the current value or total? | Big number | Operating minutes today |
| What happened in each record? | Table | Start, end, and duration of each stop |

Use a line for sensor measurements
When a measurement changes continuously—speed, temperature, pressure—a line makes its path and sudden changes easy to see.
